General requirements concerning written request and invitations

 

An written request/invitation shall be submitted in original.

The validity of the written request / invitation shall not exceed three months from the date of issuance or authentication by a Notary Public.

The signature of the inviting person – Slovak citizen – shall be authenticated by the Notary Public in the Russian Federation or the Embassy/Consulate General of the Slovak Republic.

If the inviting person is a citizen of the Russian Federation or other third-country legally residing in Slovakia a copy of the residence card of the inviting person must be included.

If a citizen of the Russian Federation or other third country, legally residing in Slovakia, is inviting close family members – spouse, children (including adopted), parents (including guardians), grandparents, grandchildren, the invitation must be authenticated by the Notary Public in Slovakia or in the Embassy of the Slovak Republic. When submitting the application, copies of documents confirming the family relations shall be submitted (birth certificates, marriage certificates etc.)

A citizen of the Russian Federation or other third country legally residing in the Slovak Republic may invite other guests on basis of the invitation verified by the Alien and Border Police of the Slovak Republic (national form of sponsorship).

An invitation issued on behalf of the company or organisation shall by signed by the authorised person (acting director) and official stamp of the company must be included. If the authorised person is not a Slovak national, the invitation shall be made in form of an invitation verified by a Border and Alien Police of the Slovak Republic (national form of sponsorship).

Invitation for individuals participating in international conferences, seminars, symposiums, cultural or sport events shall be issued by the organizer of the event in the Slovak Republic with signature of the authorised person and stamp of the inviting organisation. The official request of the sending organisation asking for issuance of visas to the employee or member shall be submitted.

Invitation for groups participating in cultural or sport events shall be issued by the organizer of the event with signature of the authorised person and stamp of the inviting organisation or sport federation. The invitation must enlist all invited persons and all pages of the list must be signed by the inviting person/organisation. The list shall include the personal data of the invited persons as well as their functions.

Each applicant shall submit the full set of documents. In cases when the submitted invitation from the host enlists several persons, set of documents of each applicant shall include the copy of the invitation and application should be lodged together with the applicant whose application includes the original invitation.
